About Me
I designed my first home and renovated it many times over the years. One year ago, my husband and I purchased a 10-year-old home in Kansas City, KS and I completely remodeled it. After getting many compliments and words of encouragement on my design work from family, friends, and neighbors I decided to learn the processes of professionals in Interior Design. As a result, I have completed a program through the Interior Design Institute. The additional knowledge has inspired a real passion for using the elements and principles of design. With this knowledge I am now able to create beautiful functional residential and commercial designs. This is done to make a house a comfortable home, and create inviting business spaces which fits the people who work there. My Ph.D. and Masters’ Degree allowed me to work as a Professor Emerita for 10 years teaching Masters’ Degree Students in Instructional Design & Technology. In addition, I earned a Bachelors’ degree in Art Education. It was interesting to learn how many of the same concepts are applied and complement each other across all three fields of study.
Strengths
My desire is help you to improve your home or business in an effective and efficient manner, and within budget. I will listen to what you want to achieve and make this my goal. I will provide additional suggestions for you to consider based on my knowledge and experiences in Interior Design to seek out quality materials and a professional plan. Through good communications we be able to develop a design plan for your approval prior to beginning work. You will find I have good organizational skills, dedicated to the job, can deliver results, and can provide a creative flair.
